Hey there! I'm Nick, and I'm so grateful you've come to check this page out!
My theatre career began with a portrayal of Humptey Dumptey in a central Pennsylvania middle school play, and it's really been all downhill from there. I'm now an NYC-based musical director, pianist, singer, orchestrator and general music guy.
I'm an avid learner, reader, and devotee of the theatre, and I am deeply fascinated by the collaborative integration of theatre and music. This interest has led me around the globe to many a piano near and far. After graduating from Baldwin Wallace University, I worked with a few lovely regional theatre companies, performed across America with the national tour of JERSEY BOYS and sailed to dozens of countries with Norwegian Cruise Lines.
I've also been part of the music team for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, an extraordinary organization focusing in providing funding for AIDS relief organizations nationwide. A few friends and I also put on some fancy skits through Accidental Productions, a company we formed that produces cabarets at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.
Teaching has become a huge part of my life, and I have had amazing opportunities to work as a teaching artist in many theatres and schools, ranging from Brüka Theatre in Reno, NV to Ithaca Montessori School in Ithaca, NY. I now teach actively on the Upper East Side with Applause NYC and have been fortunate to work with many educational institutions throughout the city.
Outside of music, I'm a tree-climbing enthusiast, devoted TED Talk listener and well-intentioned amateur chef. Check out my other pages for some more info on how I keep myself busy!
